(God is speaking.)
Beyond the darkness is where heaven lies.
Calm the children and sooth their cries.
For if it’s where they journey,
you’re looking to find,
It’s a place for all mankind.
I’ll take them all,
The long and the short and the tall.
The sick, the lost, the sad, the weary,
and those who have given up hope,
For many of you have lives with which you cannot cope.
Do not be frightened.
Do not be sad.
For it’s your heavy load of which I have lightened.
It’s my eternity in which you’ll spend these long awaited days.
It’s simple;
forgiveness,
ye shall be given,
And ye shall have the joys of life everlasting.
Trust in Jesus and it’s eternity in heaven,
Simply for the asking.
No more pain,
no sorrow,
no strife.
The price for your salvation has been paid,
Low those many days ago.
Death! Fear not . . . For I am with thee!
Tis truly heaven in which you’ll be.
And so I say one last time,
I forgive thee,
Fair and gentle child.
Come rest your head,
upon my shoulder . . .
Before you grow . . . One more day older.
Beyond the darkness is where heaven lies.
Calm the children and sooth their cries.
For if it’s where they journey,
you’re looking to find,
It’s a place for all mankind.
I’ll take them all,
